Born in Japan to American and French parents, Canadian by nationality, Andy Peloquin spent a childhood moving between countries and credits that upbringing for the wider view he tries to write into his fiction. Slayer, Savior and Deceiver are books three, four and five of Darkblade, his longest sequence. It follows the Hunter of Voramis, a half-demon assassin bound to a cursed dagger that grows stronger with every life it takes, and the series is itself a rewrite. Peloquin first published the character in 2015 as The Last Bucelarii, starting with Blade of the Destroyer, then reworked the whole run from 2018 onward under the Darkblade name, tightening the prose and renaming every volume. Red Claw comes from elsewhere: it is the second Dragonblood Assassin book, written with Jaime Castle for Aethon Books, where Peloquin also handles publicity. He publishes fast, independently and through a house, with the Queen of Thieves, Silent Champions, Heirs of Destiny and Cerberus series running alongside, and he co-built Little Stack, a site for tracking reading lists.
