Holmberg publishes epic fantasy independently at a rate almost nobody inside traditional publishing can match, several books a year across a dozen interlinked series set in one shared world of elemental magic. He worked in healthcare in Minnesota and wrote early in the mornings around it. The series are built to be read in order and the audience arrives through the previous volume rather than through any review, which is precisely how that end of the market works and why the output has to stay fast.
