Anne-Sophie Jouhanneau
Kisses and Croissants sends Mia Jenrow, an American teenager chasing a family story about an ancestor who danced at the Paris Opera, into a summer ballet intensive in Paris, where a French boy called Louis complicates the plan. Anne-Sophie Jouhanneau wrote it as her English-language debut, published by Delacorte Press in 2021. French by birth, she left the country after university for Amsterdam, took up advertising work there, moved on to Melbourne, and settled in New York in 2011. Her earlier books for teenagers, written in French, have been translated into several languages.
