Apsley Cherry-Garrard

Apsley Cherry-Garrard (1886-1959) was an English explorer and the youngest officer on Scott's ill-fated Terra Nova expedition to Antarctica. He spent much of his later life haunted by it, and his single great book secured his place among the finest of all travel writers.
