📚 1 Book ✍️ Adventure Travel 📄 PDF & EPUB

Bayard Taylor (1825-1878) was an American travel writer, poet, and diplomat whose dispatches for the New-York Tribune made him one of the most widely read correspondents of his day. His first book, Views A-foot (1846), described a walking tour of Europe made on almost no money, and he went on to report from California, Egypt, India, Japan, and the Arctic. He also produced a respected verse translation of Goethe's Faust. Taylor served as United States minister to Germany and died in Berlin in 1878.
