Barton Wood Currie (1877-1962) was an American journalist who started on New York papers, including Joseph Pulitzer's Evening World, and wrote for Harper's Weekly and Good Housekeeping before moving into editing. He ran The Country Gentleman from 1917 to 1920 and the Ladies' Home Journal from 1920 to 1928, and was a dedicated book collector whose Joseph Conrad manuscripts went to auction at Parke-Bernet in 1963, a year after he died.
