Beth Evans

Evans draws small autobiographical comics about anxiety, depression and the ordinary humiliations of trying to be a person, which she began posting online while unwell and unemployed. I Really Didn't Think This Through collects them with longer written pieces. The drawing is deliberately simple and the humour is doing the load-bearing, so the books reach readers who will not open anything shelved under mental health. She has written openly about her own diagnosis and treatment.
