Beth Reekles began sharing fiction on Wattpad as a teenager, and her early novel The Kissing Booth later became both a Penguin book and a Netflix film series. Lockdown on London Lane gathers five interlinked romantic stories set inside one apartment building during a seven-day quarantine. W by Wattpad Books published the US edition in 2022; Reekles’s British title for the same novel is Love, Locked Down. On her official page, she explains that the project started as five short pieces posted in April 2020 before expanding into a book. That path from online serial work to commercial romantic comedy echoes the route that first established her career, while the ensemble structure distinguishes this novel from her earlier work.
