Beth Rinyu
Beth Rinyu publishes emotionally driven romance shaped by secrets, regret, and an unexpected return. The 2013 An Unplanned Lesson opens her Unplanned sequence and introduces second-grade teacher Nicole Morgan and Dailan O’Maley, the uncle of one of her pupils. Their first encounters develop into a relationship while both characters conceal experiences that make commitment difficult. Rinyu later continued their story in An Unplanned Life, creating a two-book arc rather than leaving the first novel separate. Her other books include The Exception to the Rule, A Cry for Hope, and Drowning in Love, placing An Unplanned Lesson within an early group of contemporary romances. The paperback appeared in 2013, and the sequel returns directly to Nicole and Dailan. The opening novel established Rinyu’s recurring interest in how an unforeseen relationship can force guarded people to reconsider the stories they tell about their own pasts in later novels.
