Billy Wrecks

Billy Wrecks writes concise, illustrated adventures featuring superheroes, monsters, aliens, and familiar screen characters. His work appears across early-reader formats from Golden Books, Random House’s young-reader program, and DK, with projects tied to DC Comics, Marvel, Jurassic World, and other licensed worlds. Time-Travel Trouble! is a Step 2 Step into Reading title based on the film Mr. Peabody & Sherman. The story follows the time-traveling dog and his companions into ancient Egypt, using short sentences and picture-supported action for children who are beginning to read with assistance. Random House Children’s Books published the illustrated volume in 2014. Elsewhere, Wrecks has written Little Golden Books about Batman, Superman, Ant-Man, and the DC Super Friends, as well as a DK reader about Batman and a co-written Doctor Strange guide. That range shows a specialty in adapting large fictional universes into compact narratives and informational books suited to childhood reading levels.
