Dorian, a leprechaun princess, becomes their guide through a conflict whose loyalties and rules are initially unfamiliar. Published by Torchflame Books in 2013, the adventure moves through Ireland and Scotland while giving folklore immediate political stakes. LaMar and Adasikov place adolescent uncertainty inside the momentum of a quest: Brendan and Lizzie must listen, adapt, and choose whom to trust before they fully understand the world around them. The Obsidian Dagger establishes a magical geography as well as the responsibilities attached to entering it. Courage matters here less as effortless power than as a willingness to act for people whose history the visitors are still learning.
