Brian Aspinall

Brian Aspinall is a Canadian educator and STEM advocate who connects coding with broader classroom habits such as creativity, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking. Code Breaker develops that approach through practical lessons that turn curriculum expectations into opportunities for students to identify problems, design solutions, and demonstrate learning with computational thinking. Dave Burgess Consulting published the book, while Aspinall later founded Code Breaker Inc. to support professional learning for teachers. His work earned a Canadian Prime Minister’s Award for Teaching Excellence, recognition that reflects his emphasis on inclusive assessment and giving students room to take productive risks.
