Brian S. Ference
Brian S. Ference writes historical paranormal fiction that extends the world of Oscar Wilde's famous aesthete into a new supernatural sequence. The Wolf of Dorian Gray begins his trilogy in nineteenth-century England, where Dorian's fate becomes connected not only to his portrait but also to the last surviving wolf in the country. Ference builds the novel around that altered premise while retaining the Victorian setting, social unease, and questions of identity associated with the original character. The story continues in Purgatory of the Werewolf and concludes with Lupari: Werewolf Hunter, making the first book the foundation for one continuous three-volume story. Ference has described the project as an effort to imagine what could follow Dorian's earlier history while introducing a distinct mythology of his own. The Wolf of Dorian Gray consequently combines literary reimagining, period atmosphere, and paranormal fantasy, giving readers a recognizable figure whose changed circumstances lead into an independent series.
