The story continues in Purgatory of the Werewolf and concludes with Lupari: Werewolf Hunter, making the first book the foundation for one continuous three-volume story. Ference has described the project as an effort to imagine what could follow Dorian's earlier history while introducing a distinct mythology of his own.
