Taylor studied psychology and first built her writing career through short fiction before expanding into psychological suspense and novels for teenage readers. She has received four Nielsen Silver Bestseller Awards, and her books have sold more than two million copies in the United Kingdom and reached over thirty languages. The Escape received a Dead Good Books award, connecting its family-centered tension to Taylor's wider work in psychological suspense.
