Camille Elliot
Camille Elliot, pen name of Camy Tang, writes Regency romantic suspense shaped by music, convention, and mystery. Prelude for a Lord introduces Lady Alethea Sutherton, a violinist who plays an instrument society considers unsuitable for a woman. When someone pursues her violin, Alethea joins Lord Dommick, a musician marked by war, to investigate and protect her family. Their musical partnership develops trust through shared craft. Its first edition came from Zondervan in 2014 as Prelude for a Lord: A Novel. Elliot later released an expanded edition and identifies it as the opening Gentlemen Quartet story. The mystery gives the characters a link to earlier musical history, while the Regency setting supplies limits that Alethea must negotiate rather than accept. Performance becomes both her social risk and her means of connection.
