Windwalker earned a Bachelor of Arts in Letters from the University of Oklahoma and has published novels and poetry across several genres. Her books include Idle Hands, Bury the Lead, and Preacher Sam, while later work continues her interest in memory, coercion, and uncertain narrators. Hold My Place is especially concerned with how reading and recovered documents reshape Sigrun’s understanding of the household, making her work as a librarian relevant to both the mystery and the novel’s structure.
