Chanda Hahn

The Unfortunate Fairy Tale books put a girl who works in a library inside the fairy tales themselves, and Hahn self-published them after repeated rejections, then sold enough copies to make it a career. The Iron Butterfly is the darker sequence, in which a girl wakes with no memory inside a place that has been experimenting on her. She worked as a children's pastor and a teacher beforehand, and publishes independently on a fast schedule that the traditional houses could not match.
