Lynette Noni

An Australian writer of young adult fantasy whose Prison Healer books take place inside a fortress where the protagonist has survived ten years as the healer patching up everyone the place destroys.

Kiva Meridan is holding several secrets at once, and the trilogy is built so the reader learns each of them at roughly the moment it will hurt most. Noni wrote the six Medoran Chronicles first, straightforward portal fantasy, and has said she writes the kind of thing she wanted at fifteen and could not find enough of.
