Colleen Vanderlinden

Colleen Vanderlinden writes urban fantasy and paranormal romance shaped by found families, difficult loyalties, and supernatural communities. Strife belongs to her Hidden series, following the main novels Lost Girl, Broken, and Home in the author's reading order, with the side story Forever Night placed immediately before it. Published in 2014 by Building Block Studios, Strife returns to Molly Brooks and a Detroit setting where personal obligations collide with disputes among magical factions. Vanderlinden's series list places Earth Bound and Nether after this installment, clarifying the book's position inside a longer sequence rather than as an isolated fantasy. She later extended the same world through the Hidden: Soulhunter and Godkiller strands. Her bibliography also includes the Copper Falls paranormal romances, the StrikeForce superhero books, and work issued as Ella Linden. That range shows a recurring interest in flawed protagonists who must build trust while navigating powers, family histories, and institutions larger than themselves.
