Daniel Schinhofen is an American writer working in LitRPG and GameLit, fiction built on the rules and progression systems of role-playing games. He publishes independently. Last Horizon: Beta, his first, came out in October 2016, and the series that followed include Alpha World, Apocalypse Gates, Binding Words, Resurrection Quest, NPC Lives, Aether's Revival and Antecedents' Legacy. Dungeon Walkers, which began in 2021, is a spin-off of Alpha World: it follows a character named Stern through a dungeon built on perks and soul shards, and the series description says it can be read without the parent books.
