Varadarajan is an associate professor of law at Georgia State University working on intellectual property and innovation, published in the Yale Law Journal, the UCLA Law Review and the University of Pennsylvania Law Review, and she wrote Late Bloomers (Random House, May 2023). The novel covers three weeks in August in the life of the Raman family after Suresh and Lata divorce thirty-six years into an arranged marriage: he tries online dating, she enjoys the quiet, daughter Priya keeps an affair hidden and son Nikesh hides the state of his own marriage. Each of the four narrates. Target chose it as a book club pick and Real Simple named it a best book of the year. Raised in Texas, she read for her first degree at Austin, took her law degree at Yale and lives in Atlanta. Her short fiction has run in The Georgia Review and Colorado Review.
