Edward Ashton

Ashton spends his working life as a scientist developing cancer imaging software and writes science fiction around the edges of it. Mickey7 concerns a disposable crew member on a colony ship who is reprinted every time the job kills him, until one copy comes back to find his replacement already walking about. Bong Joon-ho filmed it. Antimatter Blues continued the story. Writing part-time around a laboratory job is unusual enough that he talks about it openly, and he works from upstate New York.
