Edward Bellamy

Edward Bellamy (1850-1898) was an American author and journalist born in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts. Trained in law but drawn to writing, he is remembered chiefly for Looking Backward, whose vision of a cooperative future spawned the Nationalist movement and influenced generations of reformers, utopians, and science fiction writers.
