A family’s unexplained deaths lead the officers toward the fears and concealed pressures surrounding Tracey Kavanagh, while Coupland’s own strained home life complicates his judgment. Fragile Cord launched Salisbury’s DS Coupland series, which continues through cases involving organized crime, vulnerable witnesses, and institutional obstruction. Salisbury has independently published numerous novels and later developed further sequences around Davy Johnson and DS Chris Ashcroft.
