Evelyn M. Byrne
Evelyn M. Byrne is an Irish-born novelist whose fantasy draws on the Tuatha Dé Danann and on landscapes she knew through repeated visits to Ireland. Unknown Magic begins the Daughter of Prophecy trilogy and grew from an earlier manuscript titled The Magic from Within, which received recognition from an East Texas writers' organization before revision and publication. Byrne presents the fae not simply as distant folklore but as beings sharing the contemporary world with vampires, shapeshifters, and human characters. That choice lets the novel combine romantic fantasy with a modern setting while keeping Irish mythology central to its identity. Edition records present Unknown Magic as the opening volume in a three-book sequence, followed by installments that continue its prophetic and supernatural threads. Byrne began writing while caring for her parents, after years as an enthusiastic reader of paranormal fiction. Her approach is therefore both personal and genre-aware: she adapts familiar supernatural conventions while giving Irish legendary material a sustained role in the series' characters, conflicts, and inherited powers in sequence.
