The novel follows three teenagers: radio enthusiast Adeem, who is searching for his estranged sister; Cate, who wants to find the father she never knew; and Jesse, who turns his late father’s machine into a public message service. Quill Tree Books, a HarperCollins imprint, published the novel in 2019. Alternating viewpoints and transcripts from the distant committee let Rishi examine responsibility, forgiveness, and how private choices change under a shared deadline.
