Flora Ahn

Flora Ahn practises law in Washington, DC and writes and illustrates children's books alongside the job. A first-generation American of Korean descent, she was brought up in California with Korean immigrant parents and later settled in Virginia with her pugs, who supplied both her blog Bah Humpug and the Scholastic chapter book series Pug Pals, which began with Two's a Crowd in 2017 and continued with Yay for Vacay in 2019. The Golden Orchard arrived as an Audible Original in 2020. A Spoonful of Time, published by Quirk Books in 2023 for readers aged eight to twelve and illustrated by Jenny Park, follows Maya, a Korean American seventh grader whose grandmother, living with dementia, moves into the house and proves able to send her back through the family's past by way of food. Korean cooking runs through the story, and recipes are printed alongside it.
