Gayle Callen
Gayle Ann Kloecker writes as Gayle Callen, and under three further names: Emma Cane for contemporary romance, Julia Latham for a medieval series, Gwen Rowley for three Arthurian novels. She taught fitness classes and did computer programming before turning to fiction. Her forty or so titles, most from Avon, have taken the Holt Medallion and the National Readers' Choice award. The Wrong Bride (2015) opened her Highland Weddings series, its plot turning on a McCallum who carries off the wrong Duff cousin, the two women sharing a name. The Groom Wore Plaid (2016) marries Owen Duff to Maggie McCallum to stop the fighting between their clans, in an eighteenth century Scotland shadowed by a prophecy. She lives in central New York with her husband Jim.
