George Berkowski

Berkowski trained as an aerospace engineer and worked on Hailo, the London taxi-hailing app, before writing How to Build a Billion Dollar App. It is a working manual rather than a memoir: interviews with founders of the applications that reached that valuation, and the mechanics underneath them, funding rounds, retention, the real cost of acquiring a user. The argument is that the outcome is a process rather than a stroke of luck, which is the part most readers arrive doubting.
