She joined British Vogue in the late 1960s, spent nineteen years there, then worked for Calvin Klein before becoming a leading creative voice at American Vogue. Written with Michael Roberts, Grace: A Memoir pairs candid recollections with Coddington's pen-and-ink illustrations; Random House issued it in 2012.
