Henrietta A. Huxley

Henrietta A. Huxley was the editor and selector behind Aphorisms And Reflections, a compact gathering from the writings of her husband, the biologist and essayist Thomas Henry Huxley. Her preface explains that she drew passages from his collected essays, scientific memoirs, and letters so that readers beyond specialist circles could encounter his thought. Leonard Huxley, their son, helped reduce and index the selections, while Macmillan published the volume in London in 1907.
