Henry Wood

Ellen Wood (1814-1887), who wrote as Mrs. Henry Wood, was an English novelist and later editor of the magazine Argosy. A leading figure in Victorian sensation fiction, she produced more than thirty novels, though East Lynne remains by far her best-known and most widely dramatized work.
