James E. Talmage

James E. Talmage (1862-1933), in full James Edward Talmage, was an English chemist and geologist who also worked as a theologian. From 1911 until his death he sat in the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and wrote "Jesus the Christ".
