James Siewert

James Siewert writes speculative fiction that joins interstellar adventure with character-driven relationships. A Canadian author living in British Columbia, he has described a longstanding enthusiasm for imaginative genres. Allure of Oartheca begins the Oarthecan Star Saga; its first edition appeared in 2021. Cyber-thief Rowland Hale comes aboard the starship Oartheca after a failed attempt to steal from former navy captain Toar Grithrawrscion. Their uneasy arrangement develops amid political danger, pursuit, and discoveries that widen the story beyond a single job. Siewert followed the opening volume with Barons of Oartheca and Captains of Oartheca, extending its cast and galactic setting. Allure of Oartheca establishes the series through the contrast between Rowland's guarded improvisation and Toar's disciplined command. Its mixture of romance, intrigue, and high adventure reflects Siewert's interest in speculative worlds where trust grows under pressure and personal choices carry consequences across a larger conflict.
