An Heiress at Heart (2012) put a young woman just back from Australia into London society under a dead friend's name, and it made Jennifer Delamere a Romance Writers of America RITA award finalist with her first published novel. It opened the Love's Grace trilogy; the follow-up, A Lady Most Lovely, took the Maggie Award for Excellence from Georgia Romance Writers. Crossed Lines (2021), from Bethany House, is the second of her Love Along the Wires books, set among the clerks of the Central Telegraph Office in 1881 London. It reworks the shape of Cyrano de Bergerac: Mitchell is asked to write love letters for the friend who once saved his life, addressed to the woman he wants himself. Delamere read English at McGill University in Montreal, became fluent in French there, and edited non-fiction and educational material for about two decades before fiction took over. She lives in North Carolina with her husband.
