John Marco is an American fantasy novelist known for large-scale stories of kingdoms, warfare, loyalty, and damaged leaders seeking a different path. The Forever Knight returns to Lukien, the Bronze Knight, after The Eyes of God, The Devil's Armor, and The Sword of Angels. Made immortal and burdened by earlier losses, Lukien becomes protector of the Inhumans, a desert community whose unusual abilities come with physical costs. DAW added the 2013 novel to the Bronze Knight series. Marco's other major sequence, Tyrants and Kings, began with The Jackal of Nar, while his Skylords books explore a separate fantasy setting. His earlier career included technical writing in several industries. The Forever Knight is shorter than many of his earlier epics, but it continues his recurring interest in responsibility and redemption through a hero whose endurance has become a moral obligation rather than a simple advantage.
