Jules Lermina
Jules Lermina (1839-1915) was a French journalist, novelist, and man of letters active in Paris during the late nineteenth century. A prolific writer of popular fiction, he produced adventure serials, detective and mystery tales, and works on occultism and esotericism, and he became known for his continuations of Alexandre Dumas's Monte-Cristo saga. His journalism carried a radical, socialist-leaning streak that earned him several years in prison, and he counted Victor Hugo among his supporters.
