Katrina Leno

Katrina Leno's Horrid unfolds in a secluded Maine house, where grief, family history, and unsettling discoveries shape a teen Gothic novel. Little, Brown Books for Young Readers published it in 2020 and records its place on YALSA’s 2021 recommended fiction list for teen readers. Leno’s other books include Summer of Salt, Everything All at Once, and You Must Not Miss, placing Horrid within a body of speculative fiction about teenage characters facing memory, identity, and change. The novel’s North Manor setting and gradual shift from domestic tension to supernatural uncertainty give it a distinct place in her bibliography.
