Libby Hubscher

If You Ask Me is narrated by an advice columnist whose own marriage collapses in public, and who starts answering letters with a good deal more honesty than the paper wants. Meet Me in Paradise sends two estranged sisters on a trip that goes wrong. Hubscher trained as a scientist and worked in toxicology research before writing, and has said the discipline of a laboratory notebook is roughly how she drafts. The books are marketed as light and are mostly about grief.
