Lilith Saintcrow

Lilith Saintcrow introduces the Watcher sequence through Dark Watcher, where psychic talent brings pursuit and guarded trust. Theodora Morgan has spent years moving whenever her healing ability attracts notice. Once hostile forces locate her, Dante arrives as a Watcher sworn by the Circle of Lightfall to protect Lightbringers. Theo does not yet know that she belongs to that group, and Dante's own connection to darkness makes his protection difficult to accept. Dark Watcher appeared from ImaJinn Books in 2004 and leads a six-volume series continued by Storm Watcher. Saintcrow writes across urban fantasy, paranormal romance, and historical fantasy, frequently placing urgent choices inside structured supernatural conflicts. Here, Theo must understand why the Crusade and the Dark want her before she can judge the armed stranger charged with protecting her. Their bond grows from that uncertainty, while healing, power, and allegiance determine whether either character can safely trust the other.
