Luis Senarens was an American writer of late nineteenth-century invention adventures, many issued under the house name Noname. He extended the Frank Reade stories begun by Harry Enton and also wrote about inventor Jack Wright. His surviving bibliography includes The Transient Lake, The Abandoned Country, The Sunken Isthmus, Lost in the Atlantic Valley, Jack Wright and His Electric Stage, and From Zone to Zone. The same energetic sequence continues through Frank Reade, Jr.’s Search for the Silver Whale, Frank Reade, Jr., and His New Steam Man, Frank Reade, Jr., and His Electric Ice Ship, Frank Reade Jr.’s Submarine Boat, and Frank Reade, Jr. And His Engine of the Clouds. Frank Reade and His Steam Horse appears under Senarens in Project Gutenberg metadata, though specialist bibliographies attribute that earlier story to Harry Enton. These stories appeared in popular story-paper and dime-novel traditions, using steam, electricity, airships, and underwater craft to move recurring inventors across remote settings.
