Luke Romyn

Luke Romyn is an Australian author of action-driven fantasy, horror, and speculative thrillers who draws on a long professional background in international security. Beyond Hades opens the Prometheus Wars series with archaeologist Talbot Harrison receiving news of his brother’s death and being pulled into a military crisis that overturns his understanding of ancient myth. Creatures associated with Greek legend are no longer distant stories, and Talbot becomes important to stopping a threat connected to a realm beyond the familiar world. Romyn sets modern military danger beside mythological fantasy rather than retelling one classical episode. Series records place Beyond Hades first, followed by Slaves of Valhalla, which broadens the sequence into Norse mythology. Elsewhere, Romyn moves among apocalyptic stories, psychic adventures, and multiverse plots, but he repeatedly favors ordinary or wounded protagonists confronting extraordinary systems of danger. In Beyond Hades, scholarly knowledge becomes practical survival, and disbelief gives way to choices whose consequences extend far beyond one family.
