Vujicic was born in Melbourne without arms or legs, to Serbian parents, and has said that at ten he did not want to go on. He learned to swim, to type with two toes, and to use a small foot he calls his chicken drumstick, and became an evangelical preacher and motivational speaker who travels constantly. Life Without Limits is the account of it. The message is explicitly Christian and the organisation behind it raises funds accordingly. He has drawn criticism from disability advocates who argue that inspiration built on a disabled body sets a standard other disabled people are then measured against.
