Campbell worked as an advertising creative director in Sydney and London before turning to what she calls light work, and Light is the New Black is the book of that turn: part memoir, part instruction in following intuition, published by Hay House in 2015. She holds no clinical or theological qualification and the book does not claim one; its authority is personal experience. It also functions as the entrance to a business, since she sells oracle decks, online courses and a membership programme built on the same material, which is worth knowing before starting. Her readers tend to arrive through the workshops rather than through bookshops.
