Richard Garbe

Richard Garbe was a German scholar of Indian philosophy and languages whose work helped introduce European readers to Samkhya, the Upanishads, and related traditions. The Redemption of the Brahman stands apart in his bibliography as a novel, published in English by the Open Court Publishing Company in 1894. Open Library records that edition alongside Garbe’s scholarly titles, including The Philosophy of Ancient India.
