Seth Rogen

Rogen was doing stand-up in Vancouver clubs at thirteen, was cast in Freaks and Geeks at sixteen, and had started writing Superbad with his school friend Evan Goldberg at about the same age, though it took another decade to reach a screen. Knocked Up, Pineapple Express and This Is the End followed. The Interview, in which he and James Franco are sent to kill the North Korean leader, drew the 2014 hack of Sony and threats that pulled it out of cinemas. Yearbook is essays rather than a memoir, and much of it is about being stoned in Vancouver. He and his wife started Hilarity for Charity after her mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at fifty-five, and he testified about it to a Senate committee in 2014 that had largely emptied. He also runs a pottery company, seriously.
