Author: Stephen Chbosky

Chbosky wrote The Perks of Being a Wallflower in his twenties, published in 1999, and it has drawn more American school challenges than almost any novel of its generation, for its handling of abuse, drugs and a gay teenager. He directed the film version himself in 2012, which few novelists get to do. He went on to direct Wonder and wrote for the television series Jericho. Imaginary Friend, arriving twenty years after the first novel, is a seven-hundred-page horror story.
