About this book
The grammar combines reading selections and a glossary, and the author's preface states that its main purpose is to support academic lectures and Gothic exercises. The title page describes the translation and editing as supplied with explanatory notes, complete citations, derivations and correspondences, alongside the grammatical material. The discussion of noun forms attributes certain deviations to confusion by later copyists and says that a word found in two manuscripts generally has a correct form in one.
The treatment of forms identifies faíhu as the only neuter word of its class occurring in several cases in the singular. The glossary gives meanings and grammatical information for vocabulary, including fugls as fowl or bird and fulhsni as something hidden or a secret.
