About this book
A History of the Moravian Church is a book by J. E. Hutton. The contents give a book called The Bohemian Brethren, with chapters titled The Rising Storm and The Burning of Hus. The text describes the Adamites, so called because they dressed like Adam and Eve before the fall. The text names the Waldenses as the most influential of all the heretical bodies in Bohemia.
The Moravian Church is called a tropus, meaning a religious school in which Christians were trained for membership in the one true Church of Christ. The American Brethren are said to have organized their forces in a masterly manner as soon as they had gained Home Rule, and to have set apart £5,000 for their Theological College at Bethlehem.
