About this book
A Reversible Santa Claus is credited to Meredith Nicholson, with illustrations by Florence H. Minard. The book gives October 1917 as its publication date. A man who took the newly adopted name of Charles S. Stevens, of Happy Hill Farm, is described as purchasing a chicken farm fifteen miles as the crow flies from Center Church, New Haven. The text says The Hopper's motives were not wholly unselfish in offering shelter to Mr. James Whitesides, alias Humpy Thompson.
A woman says that, without telling her husband where she was going, she ran away to papa's, hoping to persuade him to end this silly feud. The text says it was not the police, but the young Talbots, with Billie and his grandfathers, on their way to a family celebration at the house of an aunt of Muriel's. Talbot, senior, exclaims, And you're only an honest chicken farmer, after all!
